About
"OLD Future: Post-Apocalyptic Times" is a SandBox post-apocalyptic survival indie game inspired by classic games we all loved growing up.
It is mostly the merit of the Unreal engine that I even attempt such a feat as a Solo Dev".
LORE:
"World War III lasted one single afternoon...
You find yourself stranded in the future scrapping through what remains of a world long gone.
No one knows how the world ended, all indications point to an event that happened on 08.08.1959"
Timeline:
The timeline splits from the current one in 1896: with the advent discovery of radioactivity by Henri Becquerel.
-Just because it's the apocalypse it doesn't mean one can't eat well.
-Fancy a Liberty Stake? Poached eggs or some sushi, you are covered.
-Looking for food that is fresher than 150 years old? well, you can hunt or gather fresh and delicious ingredients to cook your own recipes with (RAD veggies included)"
"There is wisdom to be had" from old magazines, newspapers, and old diaries.
"The Colorado Trail" - You get to explore what was once the Colorado River, and even claim some land, code-lock doors, and build a small town together with your friends in multiplayer.
"Feeling blue?" You can now craft a STRONTIUM makeshift eternal lamp that will make things beautifully green again.
"Be on the lookout" - There is no way to outrun a Rad Scorpion on foot and never make eye contact with it if you're planning on seeing the morning.
When will the game exit Early Access:
The timeframe is 12-24 more months for the base game and at least 2 more years to tell the whole story in DLC's. Spoiler alert: Texas will be under nuclear winter. (Most DLC's will be free)
Inspiration:
The inspiration for the game comes from hundreds of SF stories from the '50s.
